Yorkie Training-8 Tips

Picture
I have two yorkies in my home and they both were very stubborn in the first few weeks. But with good training, I was able to end their stubbornness into obedience. Now, they immediately obey what I order to them. To solve out the problem, you need to have problem. Perhaps you might be also suffering with the same problem.
Here are my 8 tips for accomplishing yorkie training:
1.    You should work with your yorkie each day because of the fact that they can easily forget the things as quickly as they learn new things. They have short attention and memory span which makes it difficult for them to keep in mind those things permanently.

2.    Using positive methods is the best way to solve out this problem. Instead of shouting on your dog, ignore them if they do some unbearable activity. They do everything to catch your attention and they don’t get the same thing, then they will stop such things.

3.    Giving treats to your yorkie for their good work will make them do such good things (perhaps with the hope for getting treats) again. So, know treats are really powerful tool or medium to motivate them.

4.    While reprimanding any bad or unsuitable behavior of them, speak in a rough and harsh tone. It must convey to them they you are not happy so that they stop that behavior immendiately.

5.    You must break the training sessions so that the sessions are short, fun and filled with lots of excitement.

6.    For a more effective yorkie training, train them in a quiet and lonely place where they couldn’t be distracted like any elsewhere. Training in such a place means getting all focus of them.

7.    While training commands to your yorkie, use only one command at a time. If you simultaneously teach many commands at once, then it makes it difficult for them to grasp.

8.    You should also tell your family to use the same command for same action. If you tell your yorkie to “Sit” to make them sit and your brother tell your Yorkie to “Down” to make them sit, they will get confused and seem to you like they are not obeying your things.

The same eight tips can be useful for any breeds of dog training. So, you got the points that positivity and avoiding commands confusions is the most important thing.
